Tips for a Faster Quote
- Include heat number or project piping class if available — speeds up MTR matching
- Specify L-grade (316L, not 316) for welded assemblies — prevents sensitization
- State the applicable standard in the inquiry (ASME B16.9 vs EN 10253 vs DIN) — same size, different tolerances
- For duplex grades, confirm whether you need ASTM A815 (duplex) or ASTM A403 (austenitic) material certificate
- Large OD fittings (NPS 24+): include wall thickness and project delivery date — lead time varies
- Need PMI (XRF) verification? Request at order placement — cannot be added after shipping
